Born in the south Wales Valleys, John is married with 4 children and has lived in his adopted city of Leicester for the past 20 years.

Very much a people person, John is a former Director of a Healthcare Trust and  Labour Councillor, representing his home ward of New Parks, something which John considered to be a true privilege.

John blogs on a variety of issues affecting him, his family and the wider public, including: Pain Management, Mental Health, National and International Politics
